Now...At 6:45 am...National weather service radars indicated scattered precipitation moving across the majority of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Rain showers were mixing in with snow and sleet across portions of northeast Oklahoma as the freezing line was located along a line from near bristow to near miami. To the south of this freezing line...Rain showers were occurring across the rest of the region. All of this activity was moving to the northeast at Around 25 miles an hour. Through 8 am...Rain showers...Changing over to snow and sleet will continue to spread across northeast Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas as the freezing line slowly moves southeast. Hourly snowfall accumulations will generally be a couple tenths of an inch...With locally higher amounts within the heavier snow bands. To the south of the freezing line...Rain showers will continue for the rest of the region. Hourly rainfall rates of up to a tenth of an inch will be possible...With locally higher amounts within the heavier rain showers. A winter storm warning is now in effect for all of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas until 7 pm cdt Sunday.
