Now...A 20 mile wide band of heavy lake effect snow extending from paw paw Michigan to knox Indiana early this morning was moving east at 10 mph. The snow band will slowly weaken as it moves east this morning...However through 800 am est...700 am cst it will still be strong enough to limit visibilities to around a quarter mile and produce around an inch of snow in an hour as it moves through southwest Michigan and north central Indiana impacting cities including South bend...Niles...And dowagiac... And major roads such as the Indiana toll road...Interstate 94... And route 30 and 31.
