The weather service at http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc has a daily climate summary for Atlanta Hartsfield Airport that includes 24 hour rainfall. It also does twice a day temperature/precipitation reports for several locations around the state. To get these reports, click Local under the Climate menu, and then get the Daily Climate Report or the State Summary. Also, http://www.georgiaweather.net contains several observations in the metro Atlanta area that aren't covered by the Weather Service. Glad you like the site. Hope this helps.
