A Bit of Relief From the Cold

Metro Atlanta managed to dodge the threat of wintry weather this past weekend, as the storm stayed to our south and east, providing a beautiful day for shopping or getting late yard work done on Sunday. Now, it looks like the weather leading up to Christmas will stay dry, with moderating temperatures for the holiday period.

Today will be a bit cooler than yesterday, and we’ll see some clouds on Tuesday and Wednesday as a front moves through. This front probably won’t cause any rain. Then, beginning on Thursday, it will be pleasant and warmer, with temperatures on Christmas Eve potentially reaching 60 degrees. The warmer weather may stick around through the week between Christmas and New Years, although it’s pretty early to make predictions this far out.

Unfortunately, there’s a threat of wet weather on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. It’s effects look to be brief, though, so there should be plenty of time for trying out new outdoor gifts.
