Advance Look at February Georgia Weather
The National Weather Service has issued its preliminary forecast for the month of February, 2005, and it looks like there is a possibility of a January repeat.
The February temperature forecast, pictured below, calls for a 33% chance of above normal temperatures in the Northeast, Ohio and Tennessee valleys, and portions of the Southeast, including the metro Atlanta area. Elsewhere, it is expected to be warmer than normal in the Northwest, and colder than normal in the central valley of California, Nevada, and most of Idaho. Much of the reasoning for the above normal temperatures is because of expected warmer than normal weather in the early part of the month.

It looks like Southern California may continue to get more than average precipitation next month. The higher than normal expected precipitation range continues east to the Mississippi River. Lower than normal precipitation is expected in the Pacific Northwest. The remainder of the country, including Georgia, expects normal precipitation.

In their longer-term forecast from running from February through April, the National Weather Service sees normal temperatures and precipitation for the Southeast region.
